Fun fact: The oldest operating McDonald's is in my hometown of Downey, CA, on the corner of Lakewood Blvd. & Florence Ave.

This location was opened in 1953 by Roger Williams and Bud Landon, and is the third restaurant franchised by Richard and Maurice McDonald.

In addition, this location sports the mascot "Speedee", who was the first McDonald's mascot before Ronald McDonald, created and portrayed by Willard Scott. He was also the first company logo before the use of the Golden Arches design from 1962. 🍔
