Living in sunny Southern California has its perks, but when it comes to protecting Black Beauty from sun damage (and the occasional rain), I trust CycleShell. I've tried several motorcycle covers but CycleShell has proven to protect my bike with assurance. The typical motorcycle cover claims it is waterproof, but that usually isn't always the case. I also do not particularly enjoy the process of wrapping the bike, or folding the large cover and figuring out where to store it when not in use. After using CycleShell for about three months and counting, I hope my breakdown below will help you decide if it's right for you!
Pros
Easy covering - To cover, you simply swing over the cover from one end to the other from the middle hinge
Secured covering - Once folded over, there are pins to secure the cover
No assembly required
Waterproof/UV protected & ventilated
Strong and firm frame - Not flimsy or wobbly
Stores easily - Can fold in half
Cons:
Slightly heavier ~70lbs. - Not the most portable
Takes up more space than a regular cover
At the end of the day, this product is best used if you park your bike outdoors and have a spot for it. Because of its much bigger size, it is not favorable to move it around; However, once you have a spot for it you will be certain of its protection.
