Not everybody is gifted with painting skills. Believe me, I'm the first to admit that it's not my forte. Nevertheless, I can at least say I've tried, and had a great time doing it. For anyone wanting to take a crack at painting, I highly recommend attending a class @ Paint & Sip Studio Los Angeles if you're in the L.A. area. The class is led by easy-going teachers who guide you through a "painting of the night". This night's theme was for couples, as each person's canvas made the other half of their partner's half.

I like to think of myself as a perfectionist, and if I miss tiny details I end up dwelling over it instead of moving along with the painting, ultimately making me fall behind in class. What made this experience so much easier is that your teachers encourage you to bring your own wine and drink while painting. You would think your painting quality would deteriorate as your inhibitions decline, but it actually made me more accepting of my mistakes and allowed me to follow along.

I'm proud of my work, and love the way our painting came out together. I am thankful for Paint @ Sip Stuido Los Angeles, and would definitely come back again for another theme.
